The role will also require skills associated with:
* Production, maintenance and review of Risk Management Plans (and/or templates) for use at Defence, Account, Programme and Project level, taking into account any changes in corporate standards and the effect of any risk-related initiatives.
* Production of risk compliance data for monthly reporting:
o completeness of risk attributes,
o definition of risk mitigation plans,
o timely execution of plans,
o review status of risk items.
* Regular, independent review of risk registers and definition of improvement actions (working through Accounts on suggested 2-month cycle).
* Assessment of process quality by use of Risk Practice HealthCheck tool, leading to definition and execution of process improvement plans per Account:
o Quality of risk operations,
o Stakeholder involvement,
o Organisational Risk Culture,
o Effectiveness of risk identification, analysis and response planning.
* Delivery of training and mentoring sessions for PMs et al., and follow-up to check on results.
* Production of trend data / reports to track improvement across Accounts.
A Risk Consultant will work with the aim of improving Risk Management practice within project and programmes in support of the Defence business.
The Risk Consultant reports to the Delivery Office Lead.
The Risk Consultant will provide support and advice to enable Programme and Project Managers to produce quality, accurate risk registers that add value to the accounts. These registers will be maintained to a set of defined standards and will be used to inform the wider, hierarchical Defence register.
